Biography: Dietfried is senior consultant at Strategyn. He is responsible for empirical research activities, data analysis, project management and product/service development. He also helps companies in building strategies, organizational structure, culture, and control mechanisms to innovate both incrementally and radically. He works with clients in the fields of medical devices, energy, ICT and construction industry. Further he is project manager of innovate! austria., one of the largest Innovation Excellence Benchmark Studies worldwide.

He holds a master’s degree in business administration and earned his PhD in social sciences from the Karl-Franzens-University, Joseph A. Schumpeter’s former place of activity. Dietfried still works as a researcher and lecturer in the field of innovation management and marketing at university and an executive MBA program. Besides he is a voluntary scout of a global consumer trend network. He is author of a book and several articles for international conferences, journals and compilations. He is an active member of the PDMA, the Academy of Management, and the Platform for Innovation Management.

Prior joining Strategyn he worked as a university research associate supervising academic and practical studies for the retail, wood, food industry and public institutions. The project range included the investigation of consumer behavior, corporate entrepreneurship, branding, innovation marketing and international retail. Further he consulted clients in organizational development and international export venture issues.
