Mary-Ann Baldwin

Biography: Mary-Ann has more than 25 years of professional experience in the fields of journalism, marketing and communications. She has served in marketing roles for several professional services firms in the fields of health care, law and engineering. Previously, she was the director of corporate communications / community relations for the NHL Carolina Hurricanes and she served as communications director for the Raleigh Chamber of Commerce. Prior to that, she was a journalist, having worked with Gannett Newspapers in Westchester and Rockland counties.
Aside from her professional career, Mary-Ann has been active in the Raleigh, N.C. community, serving as a volunteer in economic development organizations, arts organizations, and on the board of directors for such groups as Communities in Schools and the American Lung Association.
Personal: Married to Jim; 23-year-old daughter. Member of Red Sox Nation and also cheer on NC State. Enjoy cooking for friends, playing golf, skiing, design and reading.
Spare Time: I serve on the Raleigh City Council as an at large member. So I don’t have any spare time!
Great Memory: I happened to be in Boston on business the night the Red Sox won the World Series in 2002. The celebration was unbelievable and I even managed to stay for the parade.
Beach or Mountains: I love the mountains ... there's nothing like skiing on hero snow out West in the winter. I'll take that over a trip to the Caribbean any day!
