Biography: Sue Moorhen has over 10 years of experience implementing innovation management programs with Strategyn, having worked with companies in the fields of chemicals (fertilizer), telecommunications, travel, consumer finance, power, education, post, medical devices, and medical insurance.

This expertise is complemented by her 10 years in the information technology and telecommunications industry with both Telstra and Ericsson Australia. While with Ericsson, Sue played a key role in securing and establishing a new area of business for the company. She became the centre manager and was instrumental in designing and implementing an internal innovation process.

She holds bachelor degrees in communications and electrical engineering (with honors) from the University of Canberra and a master’s degree in enterprise innovation from the Australian Graduate School of Entrepreneurship at Swinburne University.

Most Significant Accomplishment: Balancing development of a new arm of the Strategyn consulting business with producing and raising a family.

Thankful For: My fabulously supportive husband, three beautiful children, and a pretty special relationship with Bruce Burton, my business partner. We’ve worked together for 10 years now. We’re very different and have learned to work with that creatively so we make a strong team.

Hobbies: Sewing, woodwork, gardening, exercise and travel. But I don’t get to do any of these things as much as I’d like.

Surprise Factoid: I once considered becoming a cabinet maker.
